General consensus on Echo

The 360tes is a great saw. It`s slightly prone to chucking it`s chain off and the filler holes are a minor problem, the timber dogs could be bigger too. However it`s got loads of power and is a robust professional standard saw. If I owned one climbing saw this would be my choice at the moment.

yep this is a ballache when it happens, once your aware of the potential for this to happen you can usually avoid it. Mt 360TES is an amazing saw.

I have had the 260tes for 2 years and it's taken some abuse with no issues, my only gripe with this saw is the chain break handle is only mounted one side so flexes but okay when you get used to it. Have had the 360tes since release and again, no issues, very nice saw. Then I got the 620sx at the apf and I am very impressed so far, very strong saw and feels very well built. They are great saws, well built and at a fraction of the cost of the competition, it's a win win situation in my opinion

Echo always seemed unable to port a cylinder reasonably well, until may be on a couple of recent models....

Leaves much more on the table to play with darling...:001_rolleyes:

One of the new and better Echo models, but still not quite there regarding either power output or weight, specially when compared to the 560xp/2260 (no, I haven't used one - this is based on availiable info).

Not sure anyone can make a valid comment/criticism without first hand experience and you certainly can't just cause you read some numbers on a piece of paper!

That's amazing!!!

I don't get it. It's a saw being revved. I could stand in my garden and make similar noises...

Timing advanced, exhaust modified, and cylinder ported. Your saw has nothing on that Echo, son.

Niko can honestly say that he has never, ever, in his life ran an Echo chainsaw.

Try and get your hands on one for a day, one that has had some use, I think, having used both xp560, & the echo extensively, that you might be pleasantly surprised at just how good the echo is in the cut, and in the hand.:001_smile:
