i am looking at the Sthil ms261 and the Husky 560 Xp. Both appear to h.ave their problems and I really don't, know what one to go for. I need it to mainly cut up logs and would get a 15/ 16 inch bar as I have bigger saws if I need them. Your advice would be very helpfulness. If I go for the husky what make of bar should I get as I hear the Husky Ones are rubbish. I have always used Sthil in the past but wonder which would be best.

Two completely different saws the 550 is a closer match. I went from the 261 to a 560 and it's like night and day go for the husky and you won't be dissapointed

The husky 550 will feel faster and more nimble than the Stihl as I compared mine when it was new against a new 261. But recently I was using a well used 560 and to be honest I wished I had paid a bit more and bought the 560.

I love my 550 but the 560 is the ultimate

We have both... The 560xp is the superior saw.

Even with the standard bar :)

(It's probably unfair to compare them because the husky is 10cc more, however it doesn't weigh that much more)
