Well we have almost got it sorted.

Since taking photos I've cut the bottom link bar off and re welded to at the very bottom at the same hight as the table so it carries a bit higher, looking for someone to make up crimped steel cables to replace the webbing straps if any1 know anyone?

How do you get it onto the bottom 3 point link substitute bars? Is it a manual lift?? Will there be a holding bracket for the top mounting point?? Hope that makes sense...

 

Good thinking on that set up, has got me thinking.....!

Are you just quick release hoses to the winch or a valve block so you can swap between?

Is it staying there permanent?

Rb44 powered splitter:

 

Link arms are at a fixed hight for now so just lift splitter with big trolley jack and slide arms on, top link is like any normal tractor, not going to be on permanent just as and when we need it on site, going to make a frame to sit it on when in the yard and have some longer pipes out to truck till I either get a loader tractor or a power pack to run it off, it's only for doing my own logs and odd times clients want there own timber splitting on site.

Hydraulic bloke is ment to be coming to fit a 2nd circuit to plug into but for the test just undid winch pipes and connected them to splitter.

That's in 3rd gear just off tickover.

Unfortunately on really knotty stuff the safety on the winch valve kicks in which is why I need a 2nd circuit fitting.

Plugged it into yard owners tractor and couldn't find anything in my log pile it wouldn't split.

Next mod is an adjustable stop to prevent the blade going all the way up ever time.

Nice job there grey you thought about using the winch to raise and lower it on the link arms ? Once its on its own circuit .

Why didn't I think of that

Even if it's just to lift it up to get restraints cables/chain/strap type things on to hold it for transport,

Might get some slightly longer arms yet so the top link is at a better angle but need to sort the holding cables 1st.
