Skyline timber and tree extraction

The mulcher was brought in to splatter the Rhododendrons, and was quite succesful - apart from the fact that it left huge piles of mulch and logs everywhere, changing the nutrient levels on the site. Conventional harvesting was utilised to clear the plantation, but by all accounts they had a terrible time with machines sinking into the peat.

Feel free to pop in and see the operation working.

Very good pics you took last week Ed ! Garth that chipper isn't good is monumentally crap lol, mounted on that unit with a dolly it's more difficult to move about than a conventional artic.

James reversed it out 1/2 mile in 30 minutes which was pretty impressive i felt for the poor bloke.

The big heizohack is perfect for a job like this. Off back there at 6am tomorrow :(

They have just bought a new 3pl mounted 22 inch chipper I beleive, whihch sounds handy.

James is a good operator, he still managed to blow a tyre of the Fendt on tuesday at the Tyne Tunnel for us though.

That's right Steve, he wanted to bring it on this site.

Have you given up on AHS lol ?

No, they still ring in weekly trying to buy chip but I get a lot more for it from local landscapers.

James wanted to bring the chipper to our site and it would of been nice to get somthing back for the chip but that would of meant felling everything by hand and we didn't have the time so it all went under the mulcher, again.
