Bet you didn't know that out caravan friends are exempt from any of this if there in the showmans guild! Was told this as I argued the toss with a VOSA inspector at a weigh bridge after getting pulled.

Can't say I'm surprised, they are also the only people who can still get cash from scrap yards, as they are of no fixed abode, so can't be expected to have a bank account

Haha yeah, I took some stuff down a few months ago and had to provide an address and business details all for a tenner!

I'm sure some scrapyards are still paying cash. The law clearly states that no scrapyard should pay cash to anyone.

they dont get cash, the window gives out a cheque, they then walk to the next window, where the cheque is cashed for them, poor souls not having a bank account
