Are you using the canon bar with the dime tip and the1/4" sprocket, and have you ground off the back of the teeth on the chain to allow it to go round the bar nose ........or none of the above?:001_smile:

i bought the bar ,chain and sprocket from my local stihl dealer so basikly it fitted strsit on to the saw :001_smile:

its not hugely different to the bar that comes on the MS192t/170 is it? other than the re-inforced rails round the tip of the bar, you could fit a 192t bar straight onto a 200t, other than needing the narrower gauge chain, you wouldnt need a sprocket change

its a shame stihl dont sell the ms200t with a carving bar as an option . i likt the standard bar for take downs etc and keep the other saw with the carving bar for pruning .

I have a Silky for 90% of my pruning unless its really heavy pruning, the 200t is for take downs. Although using the 200t would probably be cheaper given how much i spend on silky blades, I just can't stand climbing round the tree with one unless i have to, i'm so much quicker without it.
