Yamaha grizzlys are thirsty. Artic cat diesels are painfully sluggish. The petrol models are good value for money! Honda seem to be living of there reputation but I personally think there getting left behind, and are one of the dearer bikes. Kawasakis I don't know much about. Suzuki is a cracking bike! (King quad) very smooth, good power, comfy and tough! You can buy a 750 for price of 500 honda. Had both and I prefer the suzuki.

How about a utility vehicle like a Kubota or Gator?

Great articles and replacing a quad for many farmers, you can take a passenger, couple of bags of meal, hay/silage, and the dog, all at the same time, running on red as well if you buy the right one.

I've considered one and now as a dyed in the wool Kubota man, I'd have to have the RTV, but I simply don't have enough of the above to do at present to justify having one, even s/h they're pricey!

Would do his job really well but if he's talking s/h quad then I think it's something that probably is beyond his budget which is why I didn't mention it.

Iv got a 2005 suzuki king quad 700cc auto with diff lock,s Independent suspension back. & front tow bar back & front with a winch fitted,

It's one hell of quad only give 2k for 2 years ago it's got a big fuel tank and pulled an ifor williams with a 3 tonne on it with out a problem, my boy takes it over the local 4x4 club and does well on it, if I was looking for a 2nd quad I'd be looking for anther king quad

We have a 550 Grizzly with power steering on the farm, diff on the back as it has independent suspension at the rear, great thing never misses a beat starts first time every time and being a farm quad not much maintenance if any gets done, think I might of changed the engine oil 4 years ago:sneaky2:
