Should you not be petitioning through the official site?

I don't really see how the request for sponsorship in varying amounts relates to number of possible supporters.

The petition was started by Axel of Anglo American Oil some months ago.

 

Why he chose to use change.org as opposed to the 'official site' is a question only he can answer.

 

I assume this is a valid petition, or do you know otherwise?
