cutandclimb Waterproof Trousers design - what you looking for?

Oh, let's not derail the thread chaps.

Yvette, my feeling on a fly zip is that it has two flaws:

1. Water that lands on the climbers lap whilst descending can more easily get through.

2. Any zip can break.

I've bought water proofs in the past that are designed for fishermen, soldiers, police etc. They are fine for walking or standing but not quite right for Arb work.

It's always better to spend the money on a designed for purpose product.

Hi Guys

Having received constant requests from our customers over the years to produce a pair of waterproof trousers to match the quality of our cutandclimb jacket, we are going into production. 😀

However, it's important for us to include the features that our customers need and we'd therefore be delighted to hear your views on what would make the ideal waterproof trouser for you.

We will be manufacturing the waterproof trousers from the same tried and tested, highly durable, highly breathable and waterproof fabric and will also be incorporating a waterproof side zip down each leg side to aid getting them off and on with boots on.

What we'd like to know about is stuff like:

Side leg zips - what's the optimum length?

Do you need belt loops?

Do you need connecting points for braces?

Hi viz tapes - necessary or not?

Pockets - yes or no?

Elasticated waistband or trouser style finish with zip and button?

Price point (realistically it'll be in line with the jacket).

Colours?

So, please fire away and let us know what you'd like the cutandclimb waterproof trousers to feature!

So 10 months on..... Any progress?

Sorry for not updating you guys  !!

Good news is that we have a few pairs out on test at the moment and are just waiting for the feedback to come in and then we should have a final design sorted out to hit the button on production. (Looking at early October for availability).

Will keep you posted…promise!
