yep no chipping involved customer was doing the clear up we were only dropping the trees

they were getting dragged out with an excavator

we have both 230 and 3410 th makita saws the 230 are ok for very lite pruning and fantastic for connie bashing the bigger makita was as flat as a fart wish we had spent that bit extra and gone husky or stihl yesterday i ordered 2 ms150 as the little makitas are getting on for 4yr old and are getting worn

Just out of interest, is it your normal technique on a bore cut to keep cutting back out of the log until it goes, as opposed to leaving a strap of holding wood, removing the saw and then releasing?

no i left the strap a bit on the thin side it was just a bit on the sloppy side i should have left it thicker for the amount of lean it had

yep it makes a welcome change we very rarely get the chance to do a drop an leave it the customer wanted it as cheap as possible so thats what he got
