Trouble is that's such a poor part of esher that some of them can't even afford automatic gates on their mansions, poor souls.

lwc, don't take it to heart please but look at it from the other side of things. FWIW I too would have grabbed it from you with thanks and a small case of beer as I sell firewood. My secure supply however, along with limited time, precludes it as a sensible move even though I'm comparatively just round the corner in Caterham.

But I appreciate your kind thought; at least I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it is a genuine offer!

Trouble is all the local contractors are balls out if you'll excuse the expression , we can barely fit in paying jobs let alone squeeze in a freebie or do the work for a token gesture.

 

You may be lucky with a stove owner who needs the wood but we can't even give the stuff away ourselves.

 

Good luck with it anyway and if you find anyone local who wants free wood please point them in my direction .
