Hello people,

I was just wondering if anybody on here owns a Santana PS10.

I'm not interested in comparing with other 4x4's etc, or the history of the brand, or anything land rover related.

My reason for asking is that there are no owners forums on the net, so was thinking of starting one.

I'd be very interested in that, but only as a place to learn unfortunately. I've never had one and know very little about them. Hasn't the company closed down now?

Iveco bought them and restyled them and sell them as iveco massif I owend a santana ps10 was good truck if you google arbtalk and a santana ps10 you see the one I sold was getting 28mpg out of it will cruise all day at high speed quite comfortable considering it was on leaf suspension was good of road sat higher up than a land rover one down side was had a rubbish heater in it for winter was just able to keep the windowscreen un frozen loads more leg room even in the back and floor in rear could git a full pallet in there the warranty was good to even covered trim as I broke door handles I would buy another and towed well down side to fit a tow bar you have to take the diesel tank off I found that out there basic inside but so are most work motors thats what they are work truck not a flash mobile

The company has closed but the factory still has all the equipment to start production.

I think Iveco realised they would have been in direct competition with the Massif with their own 4x4.

I think the PS10 sold quite well in the UK but most of the dealers were up north & parts are slowly running out.

Since owning a pick up version I see them quite a lot,

Parts are a mish mash of more common vehicles, like ford & suzuki, but some are like rocking horse poo to obtain.

There is a company in Spain who sell parts for them but at 250 euros for two brake discs is a bit steep.

The parts are one reason I was thinking of starting a dedicated forum & generally share knowledge.

The sole main dealer was morfolk truck in Norwich then there was a load of sub dealers try norfolk trucks to get parts

I have been in touch recently, they sold all their spares to Perth Auto Services but no brake discs.

My mate bought an ex demonstrator one from Autoservices in Perth a few years ago and he bought an army trailer from a dealer near Dumfries for when we go milling logs. It gets a good mpg and acceleration is very impressive compared to his landy 110. he got the back seats taken out so he could chuck his firewood in it an a big warn winch on the front. He has just fitted a bloody big roof rack to it so he could stick his 088 with his 60'' bar on the top. Looks very impressive.

I nearly bought one, before I fell in with the Steyr Puch, and all I remember about the test drive is "agricultural" and "crude".
