gobbypunk, you need to look for someone doing chemical blacking for your screws, its a coating that actually bonds onto the metal.

if you look on the back of solid timber flooring, there is usually some slots milled into the boards, these are to stop crowning with changing humidity, so it might work on your larger slabs.

Ive run a thin kerf saw blade nearly all the way through some boards, then filled the slot with resin based glueand clamped them up till it drys as a way of combatting warping and cupping on some wide boards...it still seems to be working after a couple of years

it might, did you remember to alternate the growth rings, ie, 1 up 1 down,1up, this helps to prevent the warping a bit as well, I would be inclined to put some very thin cuts on the back, maybe 2 per board, and remember treat the back to the same finish as the front, this also helps, best of luck, wanut should look really nice, deep warm brown colour

what powder are the coaters using, some are more sutible for outdoor use than others, some are almost like a plastic coating, those are what you want.

sory Tony, but these days a landy just doesnt stack up.....:), (and cos I use it for forestry, it ticks all the boxes.....lol)
