Oh so do I!! I hope aldi booms

You can't get in Aldi round here for middle class wannabes. Their advertising has been too successful, we've gone to Lidl now at least we can get in the car park and Hobgoblibn is cheaper  We have a Tesco in walking distance and only use it for exotic stuff like Pesto and Semolina flour  We bake our own bread and they give you free yeast if you ask on the bakery counter.

THE only thing that I can say in favour for tesco , is the way they find ways to keep your custom. Whether it's fuel, money off your next shop etc they do know how to keep custom. With me, their club card points pay for my flights to Spain every year. The way I look at it if I got to go food shopping then getting flights to Spain for s*d all keeps me going there.

Anyone heard any stories about aldi, lidl buyers messing around with uk suppliers?

I haven't, and I've never heard of their buyers at all.

(I just sold 16 prime beef animals to tesco's- a further 70 to go before May. Not directly to to tesco's, but they paid me a premuim above the market price of beef.)

Not sure if I understand everyone's ""beef" with tesco's

Agreed, our clubcard points get doubled up or quadrupled every year and pay for a pair of Merlin cards. Free entry to all the country's Theme Parks, Historic venues such as Warwick castle and the Sealife centres.

Even gets you into Madamme Tousourds and the London Eye.

:thumbup1: not bad for buying their reduced veg and the crab I got the other day for £3.25. Yum.

Couple of years back managed to get some Guinea Fowl for £0.60 each reduced from £6.00.

Love a bargain!:001_tongue:
