Hi All

Just wondered what you thoughts are on free landers are as they are so cheap to buy and parts are very cheap. Thinking off buying one as a run around .what problems did you have with yours.

I know that its not as good as a defender but it was not designed to be a heavy duty work horse.

i just brought one , i like it seems to be working fine its a 98 model but using it as more of a family car then work related and for that purpose its doing just fine

My dad is on his fith, loves em. He's just got one of the last. He is well cheesed off that they have stopped making them. He is not impressed with the new posing mobile. "Why do I need 7 seats?" Well funny:)

Watch out for viscous coupling problems, there's a whole industry sprung up around them.

We nearly bought one but read some pretty bad reviews about reliability. I'd say do your homework first, as in reading all the online reviews, whatcar etc

The wife had a petrol one - k series engine blow the top and bottom gaskets. She's got a freelander2 now , had it 6 years and can't fault it
