Hi Collective,

I didn't entitle this thread 'chainsaw parties', lest too many blanch!

However - there sometimes seem to be groups on here who meet up in order to give your machinery a workout, & yourselves!

Obviously, you're all known to each other & friends, etc - but have newcomers ever been allowed in?

A day out cutting with the chainsaw is obviously right up my street. I'm based in Northants (or Middlesex of a Saturday) - someone needs to take pity on my cause to be able to use my saw more.

I'm 40 years old, married with kids (& quite a conservative character), & into all things two-stroke & jets! Heck - you might let me come along just to see my other toy - Google 'Jet-powered Maverick Blackout'.

Feel free of course to respond only via PM, esp if there's mileage in the idea.

In anticipation,

Arif

Hi Arif,

There was a SawFest organised a few years back where a few of us got together to compare saw performance. Another one might get organised if Spud can conjure up some more demon saws.

You'd be more than welcome to come along.

I'd be interested. I know I'll be in England October 3rd for sure.

Let me speak to a landowner in Tidworth I may be able to offer a large beech cutting venue for you in wilts. All on the ground and needs to go so you could take away what you cut. On the agreement that you don't laugh at my spud standard port 460 too much.

Sorry to be so presumptuous that you would be interested.

I think it would be a good idea as a get together, GTG as we say stateside. I'm not too keen on wagering, but I think it would be cool for us all to meet up and share a beer and some sawing.
