I have a set of Clarke FPL3 at home which I use for the hedge and the odd job here and there. Fold down small enough to easily go into the boot of the car too. They are stable and simple/quick to unfold/fold. Not sure how they would stand up to the abuse of being used day in day out though.

Thanks for all the pointers guys. I ended up getting hold of a Tubesca Sherpascopic 3.2m ext to 4m Platform. A bit bulky but very easy to use and very sturdy also light can be set up by one person easier with 2 people though. Feel very secure stood on them the bulkiness of them is no problem to me as i'm a big lad. I just stick them in my trailer, only paid £125 for them excellent condition. Found them so useful bought another set slightly smaller Tubesca sherpa £75 3m which is defiantly easy for one person. I have a big enough garage to store them so the bulkiness is ok. Thanks again
