What happened Huck?

Its was an Ash that had snapped out years ago, the top 3/4 was resting on the remaining stem and another tree. Instead of spiking up the standing stem and cutting the top out I felled the standing stem away from the other tree that the top was resting on so that the snapped out top would pull out of the other tree and fold onto the felled stem. It went perfectly, but I had failed to account for the amount of curve in the snapped out top. There was nowhere for me to go because of a barbwire fence. The top landed flat, but due to the curve it rolled at great speed in my direction and hit me full in the face and pushing me to the floor against the fence. The hospital were convinced my nose was broken, but x-rays confirmed my thoughts that it was not. A brilliant surgeon called Mr Patel cleaned the wound and stitched it up.

That looks keen Skyhuck. Were you in O Brother Where Art Thou with George Clooney ?

 No, although just as I was going into theatre for the operation to get my face reassembled I did say "I will look like George Clooney after this op won't I??", the lady anaesthetist replied "but you already do" :001_smile: although I think she may just have be trying to make me feel good :001_huh::lol:

Good film that.

One of my all time favourites, I watch bits of it all the time just for a laugh. There ought to be a Pappy O'Daniel flour hour programme, I'd listen to that.

If you don't mind, let me add this other graphic with red, for after people scroll through your gruesome photos :001_smile:

Also, note the two-handed grip ... lol

Early 90s, I fell back off an orchard ladder, on my back, saw running. Woke up from unconsciousness after a moment, with the saw idling, chain and bar across my forearm, but no cuts.

Broke a couple of ribs though.
