Need(obviously) to keep the leafy stuff/very fine branches out.

Is that a "top filling" ETA boiler.

They do do one that is advertised to burn mixed timber

no its a front loader i am having a serious think about this as the chip we produce has very little value to us we don't produce enough to keep it for biomass and we don't have enough storage or loading facilities

The 110 (to the best of my knowledge). For what it is worth we chose the the 70 because we were already logging anything bigger as saleable firewood.

I do know others have regretted not getting the bigger version but the 70 is just fine for us.

Also produces nice size fuel for an imbert-style gasifier ... this has been my next project in the pipeline for a fair while, will get round to it some day!

A 1000ltr IBC full of mixed wood chunks. It is a very easy way to store them when dry as I can stack them four high. They just shovel out like coal.

I've been looking at these things with great interest for a while now. First example I ever seen was on ebay - I thought it was a chipper at first which is what got my attention and since then I've been doing a fair bit of reading about them.

I would love to know how well this stuff would burn on a log burner? Regular feeding wouldn't be too much of an issue as I both me and the mrs still fight over who gets to play with it next...:blushing:

There's one on there now listed as "wood chipper branch logger shredder pto". Thought it better put like that as a link will be gone in a few weeks when he relists. He's after £2.5k for them and they will chop up to 4". I get the impression they're made to order.
