Thanks guys the pills the doc gave me are just starting to work but sitting around is driving me and my girlfriend nuts (so ko it prob took most of an afternoon to hollow out getting rid of the saw marks takes an age as well

yep well nice! how are the ones in the round doing for shrinking/cracking etc? i found cutting grids with a saw then using a combination of a felling level, crow bar and a adze with a heavey gouge made the hollowing a lot less crap on the back!

O have u tried using a power file to sand the insides ?
