6 weeks is definately not acceptable - agreed. 1 week, max 2 I reckon otherwise loan saw.

I've taken 4 saws in there at 10am, all been tuned by 12 noon after a quick trip into exeter centre. There's a whole lot more to service than the price, and sometimes if you can overlook the bitter and twisted salesman the deal works out better in the long run. My particular admiration for radmore and tucker is due to them being (or should I say employing) the best 2-stroke tuner in the south-west. They know how to PDI a saw properly; 9 out of 10 chainsaw shops don't. They must hate autotune saws tho - then said employee can't work his magic. Another reason I'm sticking with Echo and Dolmar.

Hi TCD

Thats excellent service

Ive always considered Radmore & Tucker to be pretty good,

Think they also operate via Toms Garden Equipment web site as well

Hi TCD ok then so why does Jose have to wait 6 weeks as that a joke had the saw gone back to husky let try and get this saw fixed for Jose thanks all Jon

jon I've just had a similar experience myself, had a 550 and a 560 both less than a year old, both split oil tank gasket,8 weeks later I have them back, used 254 and 242 in the woods for last 3 weeks as stop gap.dealer says husky pay them for 2hrs labour and its an 8hr job so lost money, they also said if it goes again they'll give me new saw(s) so why not do that in the first place??

Hi 88 I was told about a tractor dealer like this mate only get payed for 2hrs that's a joke that 2hrs to fix husky)Stihl should let customer have new saws if they take that long thanks Jon

Find it hard to believe they only allow two hours: if it's under warranty it's fix or replace ( manufacturer's responsibility ). We have had two 550 cranks go same day ( under 6mths old ), 20mth old 560 crank n engine casing ( the new one has an extra internal bolt to improve seal ), one of 550 then had pot n piston failure ( at 18mths old ) all fixed no quarrel from husky. The only problem dealer had was our sarky comments. As an aside I've been told a lot of the running problems with the auto tune saws is because they are tested/run up on Aspen then tight arses like me put normal fuel in and they don't like it (want to run on Aspen but we use over 25lt a day on forestry jobs and I'm finding it hard to justify another increase in rates! )

Gone on more than I meant to but anyone agree? : )

Our supplier, Angus Chainsaws, provide excellent service. Often they will pick up the bit of kit, and return it in good time, if they can`t do the fix on site. Sometimes there may be a slight delay whilst they check with Stihl if the saw etc is still under warranty but it only ever adds a day or two.

As for the thread title- I use the 441 with 20" bar for the bulk of the work I do, just prefer the extra power and bar length. As a note, I prefer the oregon chains as I`ve had several stihl chains let go on me.
