Just get second hand spikes, not much can go wrong in that market.

I'm surprised honeys are sellign those, I would have thought you need a specific boot to fit them onto, with rigid soles and front and rear bit to clip them onto.

 

Strap on crampons would fit any bit but are not really rigid enough for front point climbing which is what you would be doing.

 

Go for normal spikes, they can last years. My first pair of buckinghams lasted 10 years for me and are still in use by an occasional user somewhere.

cool, just someone had said a while ago on here they wanted something with multiple spikes for small diameter trees

I have a set of those for use on bankings when mowing..

 

They'd be absolutely rubbish for tree climbing

i could sell you a 300 quid pair of boots that you will need to fit them onto, dont scrimp and scrape on the things that keep you alive. i will sell you a pair of hard leg bashlins for 100quid if you want nugs

spend the money on a proper pair take shreks offer you dont want to skimp on climbing kit. i wouldnt wear those things to spike trees if ya paid me 200 a day.
