Why fit those tyres to the front???

As the tyres are taller (increased rolling radius) they throw the abs on as the standard front tyres will be rotating faster to match the taller rear ones. The computer on the abs thinks you are skidding basically.

Also you cant turn on snow /ice with standard tyres when those knobbilys are pushing you round!

If anyone knows where to get the tyres from cheaper than £319 for 4 let us know. Cheers

 

Are you running 15" or 16" wheels?

Think mine are 205/75/16 on the vans and we pay between £55-£60 each.Hope this helps:thumbup:

Would those tyres fit an iveco.

kingpin highlanders, but been running kingpin AT's on front for 18months,they have been a good tyre

 

Have you had an MOT with these tyres on. I had some 4x4 tyres on rears and they would get through MOT cause of the side wall ratings etc. and couldn't find any knobbly 4x4 tyres that were rated to be a van tyre for passing MOT.

My friend has a LWB high top Transit and ask a couple of years ago if he could put off road tyres on and the tyre fitter laughed him out of the garage stating they did not have any where near the load rating required. I'm sure insurance companies would not be keen either!

exactly the same as a transit.

been on 3 years,passed every mot never had any mither with mot load weights etc etc

insurance knows they are on the vehicles and are declared costs no more than standard insurance.

so no issues there , infact were pulled by VOSA probably 18months ago no mither there, other than a dud brake light!

That is good to hear. I will be looking into it again cos my 4x4 tyres were great. I was told they had to be 8 ply or 6 ply, I can't remember. But 4x4 tyres weren't so therefore were not going to be passable. But again, they did the first year. Next year on, the same garage said no. So they obviously overlooked it the first time round. Likewise, VOSA could. Bit stupid really. My 4x4 tyres had a higher load/weight rating per corner than the 'legal' ones. Just didn't pass MOT.

I'm definitely going for these tyres next. I hate my Transit to the floor so these should help me hate it slightly less.
