Its attitudes like that, that make working in arb less enjoyable.

 

well if your going to work in a male dominated industry you need to expext male banter.........It,s called having a bit of fun, you should try it sometime!

By christ some so called blokes on here would'nt last five minutes working alongside my wife who has worked with me for the last fifteen years. She would put plenty of blokes to shame when it comes to grafting.

 

Yeah know what you mean my lady gives us a helping hand when an extra groundie is required . She drags brash shifts timber , but best of all she always brings us lot coffee / flask / food . Only downfall is the payment which is usually clothes shopping or her nails done as there fooked by the harsh reality of the Tree world.:001_smile:

I'm pretty much going to echo what everyone else has said and agree that it is the person NOT the gender that is important. Men and women are equally capable of being total muppets.

 

In GENERAL, both sexes have their own strengths and weaknesses, physical and mental, and you can work with this to get a really good team together. I have worked for one man who was sadly very unconfident in has skills and felt intimidated by the stereotypical big, blokey climbers and had more women than men on his team. We got through sh*t loads of work between us and always got good feed back from the customers.

 

And there are certain perks to being surrounded by fit, young climbers... :001_tt1:
