Valtra and roof mount

I've finally decided to buy a valtra with roof mount crane, looks like I'm going to go wilson's as I'll need to finance the unit, is there anything I need to watch out for as I have never used one before. Seems to be the most efficient way of dealing with timber from small woodland jobs as any timber left seems to be going missing! We have been managing with Mog and trailer so my trailer will have to go, I may just trade it in unless anybody is interested in it, it is ideal for a Mog of fastrac as it's air braked and commercial axels. Any advice would be great, thanks guys.

IME wilsons are great until you have paid your money, then they want no more to do with you unfortunately.

You can get finance for machines without going to a dealer, look in the back of the forestry journal, eagle asset finance or Arb lease can help.

Do as I have done and find the tractor yourself then have the crane fitted

A T Osbourne is (was) yer boy for roof cranes / guarding but I've a horrible feeling Mark has knocked it on the head - still worth a try as customer service top notch. £90k for a TomD setup from Wilsons; hmmmm...

I bought a tractor from wilsons, they did everything they said they would, and a lot better than I was expecting, and not from them but just in general and they threw in a nearly new top link.

They have always responded to my calls and that was a £15k tractor, not a big £££.
