Ian, your work is really outstanding, can i please ask a few questions, what type of router bit do you use, is it v groove or a u groove, what type of timber do you find best to use, and finally do you use any thing else like a dremel etc for your finer work. The reason for my questions, is that i have only really done detail routing in mdf, but the local church has asked if i could do something in timber.

Thanks h.

I've got two routers both using 1/4" shank , the smallest is 1.5mm straight flute upwards. I've tried most wood and have no preference really, the key is don't buy cheap router bits. I brought the plunge bit today for my smallest router to make it easier for fine detail work.

I do have a dremel but rarely use it for this now.
