Chainsaw Rage in Pub

Bloke I know had a pub fight with his daughters waster boyfriend.

Couple of hours later the boyfriend and his family turned up at his house looking for retribution, he took out and started up his 020t and conducted the conversation behind the revving saw.

Coppers turned up after wards by which time he had removed the bar and chain.

No charges pressed.

Three years custodial sentence!!!! The law's a joke.

If you didn't laugh, you'd lay awake all night worrying - what's that Swarez bloke earning and not to forget his influential potential on youth, he has no place in a civilised society - and neither does the drug addled waster in this scenario. To hell with the civil liberties brigade, this idiot should have the skin flailed off his back on the village green / town high street. But until then, I guess the best we can hope for is a low kickback chain and a softwood bar top! I'll do a thread on that subject yourself & Jules helped with shortly. Didn't really get a conclusive answer so it'll be a summary & and open for comment / views! Thanks for your input Gaz.

Whwn I was a young lad the landlord of my local at the time kept a chainsaw in the beer store behind the bar area, any trouble and he would fetch it out , fire it up and wave it about saying the pub was closed. He never had any issues.

I am not so much thinking about how to stop it, but what on earth makes someone want to swing around a chainsaw like a lunatic? I have found myself being extra careful when there are people right close to me – let alone swing it around in some pub. I swear, some people…

How many more times? This is disgraceful conduct in front of potential customers! How many more times must we press for proper training on these machines before someone really gets hurt. The guy has no PPE, moving with the saw and chain brake not applied, using saw at head height, blatant flaunting of PUWER, gross misconduct due to drink and drugs, no risk assessment, and I'll bet he has no insurance. How many more times people??! training and insurance, let's get this sorted.
