Which 16mm rope?

Made a thread a while back about getting a rigging kit together. I had been subbing in climbers who bring there own.

 

Anyway im pretty much there with every thing else ( based on 16mm system) but lacking a rope.

 

Ive used plenty of riggin lines before but never taken an interest in what they are and who made them, wish i had now.

 

so... 16mm suggestions please and reasons why!

Sirius , relatively inexpensive, low stretch and I have yet to brake it despite trying.

Speak to nod at tree worker , he knows his ropes and when I described what I wanted out of a lowering rope this is what he recommended and it has not disappointed me in 5 years.

I know quite a few people using it now and all give it the thumbs up.

If you're set up for a 16mm system then get the 16mm Teufelberger, I use the 14mm and for the money it's fantastic rope!

I've been using Yale Portland braid for the past couple years now with no complaints. Its reasonably priced, not sure how it compares to the others though

whilst im here, whats a good length? Was thinking 60m should be good?

I use Yale Polydine. Great rigging line and not far off the working loads of 19mm Portland braid but without having to purchase 19mm hardware.

Yep, mines 60m...rarely need it, but on the odd occassion it comes in handy. Best to have too much than not enough

Hi all I to am looking at a 16 mm rigging line currently looking at the Samson stable braid or the Yale Portland can anyone offer me some advice/ experiences
