What is your single most beneficial exercise for Arb work.

Wing Chun is absolutely brilliant for this kind of work, buildsallyour corse muscles up especially those in the back and without knowing it drills good posture, very good for all the joints as well absolutely no stress on them what so ever. Can't think of a better hobby on the side for a Tree Surgeon..

I only quit because it was too expensive!

I think any martial art is good for your body i do Hapkido, Hanmudo and Judo, the workouts loosen wrists, ankles and most muscle groups. Getting thrown around and hitting the floor toughens you up for when 'that branch catches you in the face:lol:. Also they give you great core muscles especially when sparring and someone kicks you in the gut:thumbup:

Well the title says exercise for arb work not just climbing :biggrin:

 

I'll go with Deadlifting, best allrounder IMO. I don't do much climbing, but do a lot of dragging and lifting, so my weights 3x a week really help. Its a bit tuff in the summer though, normally give up for the busiest 2 months of the year.
