Hi Guys,

I have found a cs 100 chipper for not too bad a price, it is fitted with a 14hp B&S motor which has done about 200 hours.

Will it be possible at a later date to upgrade the engine to the larger 18hp? is it the same beast, just a different engine, or is it a unique fitting for this model (arbo 14) :confused1:

Any help much appreciated

Think mine is the 16 pony one and I can't fault it yet it's pulled in and spat out everything we've fed it

I would think so, but these machines are brilliant. I've had mine for 4 years now, never serviced, bounces about in a van, shoved in a shed for months at a time, fallen over a few times in gardens , bounced down stairs, lifted with hiabs into awkward spots and starts first pull every time.

ned to find out what the rpm is to the chipper from shaft. and size of shaft then get a bigger engine which will run at same rpm may not need to run as fast as more grunt.
