Woodchip price per ton collected has gone from £12.00 to £6.00 and most recently they collected two artic loads and we're now getting £3.00 - it's a joke!

Anybody know any independent companies buying Woodchip? If not, might be time to buy an artic and make some phones calls.

I could always give you a season ticket if you like.

Its value changes by region, in Surrey its been 0-£3 a ton for a long time and worse still you have to load them for that. We have for a long time now been sorting the timber into either log wood or chip wood stacks both of which have a market . Chip the bare minimum because chipped arb arisings are worthless and a liability so not worth giving it the yard space.

Is it not possible to sell direct to power stations and arrange your own haulage?

I have wondered that, problem is the only people who seem to have the big walking floor ejectors are jenkinsons and stobarts who are the same company..

Try getting in contact with some of the big waste disposal firms like fred sherwood and the likes, they have them.

Edit: might be worth making inquiries with brightlingsea port as they were having boats in that were taking woodchip, not sure if they still are though.
