I know a chap that bought a scania 8 wheeler concrete mixer last year. It was about 4 years old it was intended to be a quick repacement for the one he had that had been wrote off. Had it in the country within a week or so. It took the authorities around 8 months to get the paperwork, approval, inspections done. I assume they have lots of coffee breaks.

shouldnt be a massive deal chief, anything nice?? usually heading the other way. I had a Mondeo ST200 on uk plates for a year. never a word said! Cars are the same spec here as uk, some trucks are different

I bought a disco commercial from Northern Island and that was straight forward, but that said it was in the days dvla had the local offices with all the associated help , now they are all closed down you will be stuck on the phone to some brain dead faceless twonk from Swansea.:thumbdown:

If its anything like Uk to Ireland….. ouch…. pain in the proverbials…. and it will cost a lot of time and effort and a few shekels too….

 

ive brought a few pickups in and never any trouble, that was in revenue days though, I know its with the ncts now....

 

on a related note im trying to find out how much the UK Customs would want to release an american pickup truck from the docks. its a lot less than it is here apparently
