Hi, I'm tempted by one of these, just 2 questions. What is the hole in the exhaust/exhaust modification everyone seems to refer to? And, Where can you get one from for £350. Is that including VAT and a bar/chain?

Mine was 400 with the vat. Very shortly after they were released.

Hole in the exhaust is fairly simple. Apply a 5-8mm drill bit in a spinning motion to the side of the exhaust until it goes through. Dead simple

And then, quite importantly, reset carb if required:sneaky2::thumbup:

Use mine for pruning, fencing, felling, hedge reduction etc. Not drilled the exhaust as its power is fine for what I need. More than paid for itself. Awesome piece of kit, does occasionally clog with sawdust and usually equates tank of fuel to tank of chain oil.

The hole in the exhaust sounds very simple, any pictures anyone?

I'm doing my mates one in the morning, I will try to get a pic, but you want to take the exhaust off the saw first, ( 2 minute job), & clear any swarf out, you dont want it getting in the exhaust port.
