I keep hearing that the newer 201s are much better saws than the gutless thing that first appeared.

I'm really happy with my 540 though, about 4 months in.

The tech lite bar is weak, I'd look to swap that out at purchase now.

For the record, you can't buy anyone 'topping saw' until you have obtained your tickets.

Or you will go to prison.

I heard this, but they made an exception for me. Apparently prison has enough sodomy without sending my young arse in...

...whatever that means.

I think mines 2012 and it's just fine. Better once the exhaust was opened up for sure.

It's painfully slow at first, then after a few tanks it's better, and with the muff mod it's good.

People can't get over the fact it's different from a 200. Mine has certainly been more reliable than a 200 though.

The 540 doesn't need fricking about with, so still has warranty cover.

My 9 year-old 200 is still running beside the 540, but suffers in comparison now on speed in the cut, but that is to be expected.

The pick-up on the 540 is really quick, bar length today again in oak today, and impressed me again.

Newton, I can't wait to meet you.

I'll show you sodomy....

The 200 i use at the min is about shot.

Do u use your own saw for your everyday work?

I use it at work when needed, if one of the boss's is on the blink. Muff modding is pretty simple, I can give you a hand if you want, once the saw is out of warranty

Yeah sure mate, here in Rugby we have proper gays, none of this southerner, eyebrow plucking, latte sipping stuff you call gay.

We don't need any help with going full bar length.

I'd need to see proof of your CS39 first mate.

Don't want to make things worse for myself in prison.
