big tree country nuggit, beautiful scenery and countryside. chip shop isnt bad either.

Spent a week there deadwooding, about 6 years ago, The midgies only came out when it stopped raining, which wasn't very often.

 

Beautiful place though. Enjoy.

not working guys, just going for 4 days with college, going to go ape and some other stuff

did a lot of felling and brashing up there for the harvester , one long street with a few touristy shops, road up to Callander is very scenic, Forest Enterprise have a vistor centre just outside Aberfoyle, they did a lot of work to improve the habitat for the Capercallie. miles of forest tracks take a bike

Lots of good tall trees near Aberfoyle.. would say it would be a nice place to go rec climbing.

The countryside round there is nice.. Loch Katrine is well worth a visit while you're in the area, very scenic!

Stayed there at school camp when I was twelve.

 

Smacked a myxy rabbit over the head with a cricket stump, my reward was doing the washing up for the whole camp for the rest of the week!

 

Remember it being pretty hilly?
