I'm an orthopedic wreck due to thinking I could compete with pro motocross riders in the early 80's guys. Busted many bones and snapped the ACL in my right knee before accepting the truth that I couldn't.

So in order to still climb trees I have to wear ergonomic knee braces as well.

So you wear those over your trousers????:001_huh:

I guess seeing that happen to a co-worker would make one want to prevent it happening to you!!!

Yup! For pretty much my whole career.

You can never be too cautious mate.

I carry blow up arm and leg splints in my tooltruck's main forestry med kit.

I carry a knife at all times when climbing and all the groundsmen that work with/for me carry a knife, IMO it's an important piece of safety equipment and I won't work without at least one in the tree and one on the deck

ahhhh,,,, here we go...2 blades min,,,you never know when you may need a sharp edge....maybe i'm just over cautious

I tend to have a belt/pocket knife and either a neck or boot knife wherever I go. Two is one and one is none.

I always have a tiny Swiss Army knife with a little 30mm blade.

It has scissors, screw driver, tweasers and a thing for picking stuff , only knife I've ever needed.
