I have a piece of laburnum cut last week approx 12-14 inch diameter and approx 6 foot long. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

Can anyone give a rough idea of its worth please.

Thanks in advance

If you saw it up seal the ends dry it out for a few years without it splitting and then find a turner to sell it to its maybe worth more

You need to put more air gaps in your bags Bob:thumbup:

Tbh we would probably just put it through the chipper unless I found someone to give it to for them to make something out of.

Hate seeing good turning wood burnt but as most turners do it as a hobby then I usually just give it them..

i'd happily pay £40-50. never chip such lovely wood.

for me i'd want it split down the length in to log halves so i can make nests from them. if it's 12-14" then you'll get at least 10 blanks and i'll average 3 per nest so 30 bowls.
