Like the title says,, been looking at changing my lanyard. At mo got a Dragon lanyard which came with mechanical rope grab. Its Ok spiking up a straight stem like conifer or Lombardy poplar and is Ok for holding you in a position, but I've been looking at CE lanyard and also custom set ups on here and want something more flexible. I bought 15 metres of Yale XTC to use as second line with a prussic and put a figure of eight on a bight as a termination but this is bulky and what with 2 lines, split tail micro pully and the metal rope grab on the lanyard Im starting to feel over equipped when climbing round more awkward trees. CE Lanyard is dear and use as second line seems to have been questioned, i.e. SRT on just hitch..? Wondered if I can buy 5mts rope spliced at each end to get me started.

P.S. If I change do you think I could sell Dragon if I got it LOLERED

It costs about £65 new and its not been used that much
