990xp 12" drum. The dealers, Hydralada, actually wanted to put them side by side to check when we made comment on it. Just made us appreciate ours that much more. Awesome machine.

 

 

Bandit have had batches of poor quality motors & we have had half a dozen, we swapped motors off one 990 with our parts stock but they were faulty too. Not easy because it wasn't just one batch but here & there, more down to quality control than poor manufacture.

 

Incidentally last week Bandit announced changing from White motors to Parker.

They come out here with all kinds of motors. Cummins, Perkins, Cat, Kubota. The engine wasn't the issue, just seemed to be under engineered and the hydraulics weren't up to driving the rollers hard enough. Like I say though; wouldn't have anything else if it were my money.

I think he's referring to the hydraulic motors and pumps, not the 'engine' (English for 'motor'). That wasn't meant to sound as arsey as it possibly does by the way!
