Been asked by a customer today to price for a bunker for his grass clippings, his existing one is about 12ft x 5ft and consists of a corrugated tin sheet on one side and pallets on the other 2, but he wants something tidy to replace it, was thinking about basically doing a paling fence to the three sides but wonder if that would let the grass dry out too much to compost? any ideas on a design/materials welcome :thumbup1:

saw a very good compost bin at a new customer double aprox 6ft square by 5ft tall had used 4x4 posts and had put 5x2 on the out side then put a smaller plank in between on inside so just a little air gap looked like it was rotting down ok and looked very smart

great cheap way is to bang in some fence posts in the spot chosen, in rectangle shape, 4 for a one bay, 6 for a 2, 8 plus and plus, add as many as you like in 1m by 2m sections and use chicken wire at the back and sides, and for the section dividers. wooden panels slotted in at the fronts. perfect. Last year, one I made at a clients had grass snakes laying their eggs in.

Level off the posts with your chainsaw.

And wee on it a lot.

Must get a pic of it.
