i use a 5" board with inch overlap , works out 10 per meter, never had any problems,are you any nearer to sorting the problem out yet mate,has recent damp weather improved the cupping??

take the whole lot back to jewson and demand your money back, sale of goods act, products must be fit for purpose, this timber obviously isnt, make sure you kick up plenty of stink and threaten court action if you have too

Not sure about Jewsons, but Coomers larchlap panels are better than the ones from a well known specialist fencing suppliers.

 

The recent strong winds have indeed put demand through the roof. Lots of hurriedly made wet crap being sold. Couldn't believe it when four foot high larchlap panels were sagging in the middle!

there has been a shortage of materials as i have waited 5 weeks for materials. i get my from a proper fencing supplier who does erecting as well. i know the material i am getting is good. i am afraid that some of the bigger builders merchants the timber is not of high quality, and it looksas if this is the case with yours.

sale of goods act ask for replacments for the dodgy ones plus the cost of doing it, and if you can get your money back go to a timber yard or fencing supplier.
