Logsplitter advice please

Reckon you could have some action in the yard splitting gnarly stuff with loads of compressive force left in it!

 

Liked the one-handed operation as well.

I like that - fast and easy to use.

 

HSE wouldn't like it though and if it was available it wouldn't be CE approved - not a mojor issue unless there was ever an accident

It has a petrol engine that powers 2 heavy fly wheels, fine for straight stuff, but nothing like the power of a hydraulic splitter imo.

try ebay , have a look at the 22t petrol driven ones

 

Has anyone any first hand experience of these machines. They look OK, feedback is good but how do they perform? Any problems?

I have a 26t version, there ok and do the job well but remember most are chineese machines and build quality can be iffy, mine was half the price of a german or UK machine but i wont buy another, next time it's the real mccoy as i can't be bothere fixing em all the time. The other thing is spares, half the time there waiting for deliverys and it gets really frustrating or you ring up and there "out of the office"

IMO go for something pukka and save the hassle

Not sure really, am going to keep the titan pro i have now as its good for taking to customers houses and splitting on site, think im gonna get a pto cone type one for the back of the tractor, this way i get away from hydraulics and there dead simple (bit like me really)

what problems have you had with the titan? I have the 30T one and it works fine. Have had it about a year now. A few teething problems to start with, but been ok since
