Hi from Kielder forest, yes its a great forum. Our work can be in isolated places, we dont get to meet many other arborists while out working ( or any people at all!) if you hav'nt got anyone to ask, advice etc, there are always loads of people who will offer it for free, on any subject, or just have a moan about prices, customers etc or complain about the weather. One thing is always obvious, most of us love our work, and would'nt be doing anything else !

Hello everyone,

An interesting forum..I have an semi-natural woodland in which i raise tamworth pigs. I am also coppicing neglected hazel to make charcoal from this winter.

The pigs are there to reduce the wild garlic (Allium ursinum) population. I intend to re-seed with bluebell. (seed already picked).

Always looking for a few volunteers throughout the year. lots to do

My business is making Charcuterie, teaching curing and smoking and butchery.

I have a forestry degree Bsc (hons)

Look forward to chatting
