  1. If it's the odd transit load, and you're working in the area we could always do with some logs and woodchips at haslam park allotments. Feel free to pm me for details.
  2. If it's suitable as mulch for garden beds you could drop some off at Haslam Park allotment in Deane, off Wigan Road, not too far from Westhoughton. We'll be needing some more soon. Pm me if interested. Cheers, Baz
  3. FAO turbull if your looking, I got your message about the woodchip, but can't reply because your inbox is full, would be glad to take some off you just let me know dates when you have them, cheers!
  4. Hello all, please have a look at this thread if your in the bolton area, I see hugelkultur has come up before in this thread, if you need to get rid of some smallish branches or chip. FAO turbull if your looking, I got your message about the woodchip, but can't reply because your inbox is full, would be glad to take some off you just let me know dates when you have them, cheers!
  5. Hello everyone, I'm new here, am hoping someone can help me out; I'm currently fighting an oversized and weed infested allotment plot along with the help of my brother, it's currently made up of too wide raised beds and grass paths but this autumn/winter we're hoping to make it into a more mangable and better yielding food plot by utilising some permaculture techniques; namely hugelkultur raised beds combined with some 'back to eden' style wood mulch paths and bed covers. (If anyone is curious to read up head over to the permies website, lots of interesting stuff over there). ...Hence the request for logs and woodchip, not fussed if the chips are not uniform, partially composted and full of leaves...in fact this would probably be ideal, looking for a mix of soft hard wood logs approx up to 10ft long no more than 10inch in diameter (for the sake of not killing myself whilst lifting them) and in any state of decay, (as long as they hold together whilst being moved) along with various pruned branches/brush material to layer things up. I have a problem in that i don't have a vehcle to pickup material so would require delivery to Bolton, our plot is on the allotment next to Haslam Park, if anyone can help with the above criteria feel free to chuck me a quote of suitable recompense for what you can offer. Cheers! Baz
