Just found and joined up and have a question, if its a stoopid newbie one I'm sorry. I had a sneaky wee pine branch smash into my knee today, its now twice the size of the other one, any tips on how to get the swelling down? ATM I'm self medicating with jagermeister and old speckledhen, any tips gratefully appreciated.

Hi All,

 

Been a lurker for a while and thought it's about time I chipped in.

Been working a couple of years for a Contractor, predominantly forestry with some domestic tree work now and then. Lots of planting, hedgelaying and hand cutting work keeps us going.

Everyone seems to have a good laugh in here so I thought I'd join in.

Hi all

used to work in the industry, started off as a gopher then graduated to a cutter, finally reaching the pinnacle of a choker man, then them darn mechanical beasts took over. So became a Nurse

Currently in the process of buying a cottage with 6 acres of mixed woodland so looking forward to advice on managing this.

Just registered after finding this wealth of information. I have just started to make beds etc mainly from large oak beams and slabs after I built my own and got requests to make some more so always on the lookout for oak waney slabs and does anyone know where I could het timber kiln dried in the Lancashire area?

Found this forum a while back when I was researching chippers, and thank to the info I became one of the many to buy a cs100. We mostly do hard landscaping, fencing with a bit of garden clearance. All so run a jcb Micro, so we do a few hedges down, chipped, roots dug out and a nice new fence.

We are in West Wiltshire not far from Bath
