I just bought a Jensen 530 tracked chipper it doesn't throw the chip very far. Is this normal? If not what's wrong with it?....

Undo the top and swing the shoot over to get a look at where the chip enters the shoot from the fly wheel . If it has been used lately on a lot of wet stuff some times it can clog and narrow down or even fully block the shoot . Might be that ??

Thanks stubby but thats not it, the machine is reconditioned and has not been used until today. It pulls the stuff in well but just doesn't eject the chip with the same force as other machines that I have used. Maybe thats just how they are.
