i was talking about this type of thing the other day to my mate..... he found bomb shrapnel up in an old pop a few years ago lol

Found the remains of an old gate hanging with the bandsaw once.........pretty much in the centre of a 3' diameter oak log!!

This was an old iron pulley,tied in to a stapleof some sort with heavy copper wire,chainsaw alerted me to it with that old zizzing sound!

We took down an elm at a pub which used to be an old coaching inn. It was next to the

road so we started at 6am,by 8am all the top was off and we thought we would have the butt down, disc up and in the pub by noon. Turned out to be the "shooting tree". for centuries, criminals had been stood against the tree and shot. The lead shot we found got bigger as you cut deeper in the butt, right back to the old musket balls the size of marbles. We eventually got away at 8pm well knacked and all a bit spooked.
