climbing irons?

Buying some new climbing irons and have been considering buying the distel aluminium ones with the velcro fastenings. How do people rate the velcro attachments? are they prone to coming loose? Do they stay secure or do you constantly have to re do them? or dose the velcro ware away with time and use?

Cheers in advance for any advice. :001_smile:

Danny, ditto what Rupe just said.

I was worried the velcro wouldn't even be safe, let alone comfy!

Needless to say it's both. Phew!

Carbon Geckos here, year old next month and minimal signs of wear. A big tip for other users - take the bloody things off when you are on the ground! They last much longer this way. Most people in Canterbury High Street don't really care if you are a tree climber or not!
