Neat idea

Wonder if you could make fuel pellets similarily?

 

I come from mill town whete spinning jenny was invented

Local story was some guy made prototype

Didn't work, threw it out of window in disgust

Some guy called Arkwright picked it up, saw what was wrong

Few years later he was Sir Joshua Arkwright millionaire ( or vctorian equivalent)

If we dont try you dont know. Most inventions are born from prototypes. From effort comes success ( eventually ) I would imagine you would need some serious tonnage to push that bad boy through and it would take some time to clear a jam. I have seen some great finger trimmers/kindling machines over the years.

I will find time to cut it open and do a few mods. the hydraulic ram is 49 tons and not big enough, but was really impressive for 20 seconds before it jammed

My colleague Danny made a plate with 6mm holes which he had a shallow countersink so the edges were sharp, we prepared 1" disks of dry pine between the whorls and forced them through to make some pellets. It worked in a fashion because the wood could compress but wet wood jammed it completely.
