Regarding jaso fd it's reported that it outperforms jaso fb in all aspects not just smoke and ash.  Jaso fb is what's in hp ultra and actually the hp super is lower in ash as well. Why are stihl saying the ultra is better? I've emailed stihl GB and I haven't got an answer. I can see from online research the american hp ultra differs from the european type.Does any one want to throw some light or thoughts on it??

Its a mystery 😲

If I bought aspen 4 and mixed my own ultra with it would it be/last the same as motomix?

Yes . Maybe a tad longer . What is the shelf life of Motomix ? I have been doing the same ever since its been available . Aspen 4 to start with then lately the Husqvarna equivalent . Been mixing it with Redline racing 2t oil at 50:1 . No problems .

Does the actual oil itself expire? The actual bottle of stihl hp ultra. I'd say unless exposed to elements and sunlight no? Reading online it says once opened shelf life of 2 years. I'm completely doomed!

If you don't get through a bottle in 2 weeks let alone 2 years your not working hard enough ! 😁
